Day Three - SCORE a little more

As we go into day three, the first thing that comes to mind is simply: Thank you. As everyone knows, this season has been very transitional for us. With the move to Sanford, FL to secure better playing fields and hotel options (and get you closer to the attractions!) and the past few months with our Boys Tournament Director (Joe Conlon) being in and out of the hospital due to major medical issues. Things have obviously been different this time around. We made the decision to limit the number of teams in the event in order to give those participating the best experience possible. We wanted the best fields possible, a relaxed atmosphere, no “late into the night” games, and to give you time to spend in the local area as well. Even the predicted storms left us all alone! Many of you have been attending our events for years, many of you are new to SCORE… either way, we are well aware that there are choices to be made when picking an event and we are thankful and happy you chose to be part of SCORE. We welcome you to check out the information on our summer event in Greensboro, NC as well. Played on gorgeous Bermuda grass with 17 fields in one locations It is typically 175-225 teams with about 150-200 college coaches in attendance.

For those of you with games on Monday, we want to emphasize that ALL Champions and ALL Finalist (Overall and Red) are to report to the main Pavilion area immediately following your final games. All Champion & Finalist teams will be presented awards/ Trophies. Since many games end at the same or similar times, we ask that you forewarn your players and parents etc to be patient during presentations. You have already come a long way, you deserve your recognition. Please note: We do NOT mail trophies and awards, if you chose not to bring your team and properly receive them, they will be forfeited.

Special thanks to all of the team managers, and “soccer volunteers” that take care of the request and demands of their teams. We would also like to thank and recognize the Seminole County CVB as well as the Central Florida Sports Foundation for their hospitality and hard work in bringing the event to this area. As each of you head home we would like to wish you safe travels.. We look forward to seeing you again - hopefully this summer.
